Lesley Payne
I trained as a Dental Nurse in Glasgow Dental Hospital and qualified in 1986, and then gained the National certificate in Dental Nursing in 1988. Following six years working with the community dental service in Ayrshire, I decided to return to N.Ireland and joined the team at Affinity as a Dental Receptionist in 1992. I then progressed to Practice Manager in 1996. In 2009 following a year of study I attained the Level 5 Diploma in Management. I enjoy my job immensely and love the interaction with the people I meet. It is a great feeling to know we provide a service which is appreciated by our patients.
Carole Wallace
I joined the dental profession as a trainee dental nurse at the age of 17, but later left the health sector in pursuit of part-time employment to work around family life and the raising of my two daughters. During this time I worked for a number of years as a playgroup leader. With the advancement of my daughters to secondary education I decided to return to full time employment and took up a position in the practice in 1994, initially working alongside Paul as a Dental Nurse. In 1996 after a year of study I gained my National Certificate in Dental Nursing. I now work in the office and during my time here have attained Word & Text Processing to stage III and NVQ level 2 in Professional Development for Dental Receptionists. I enjoy immensly working closely with the public and together with the team here at Affinity strive to give the patients the best possible service. My hobbies include hill walking & squash which I have played for 19 years. Over this time I have been and currently am a member of a local club and play in the Ulster Leagues.
